Street Campaigner


Street Campaigner Listen to a street campaigner from the New Socialist Party of Japan (NSPJ) haranguing the early morning suit-and-tie crowd on Shinjuku-dori avenue, where it passes through the business district of Yotsuya in Tokyo.

Candidates for political office and political campaigners in Japan are prohibited by law from knocking on people's doors and canvassing on the doorstep, so they set up megaphones on the street or parade in cars blasting out their message.
