Kyocera Corporation will hold its annual illumination event at its headquarters building in Kyoto City from November 30 (Monday) through December 25 (Friday). This holiday season event has been held to help invigorate the local community ever since the company's current headquarters were relocated here in 1998.
Since 2006, the trees in the public garden area in front of the building have been illuminated by 200,000 LEDs, enhancing the festive sensation of the giant 86m-tall Christmas tree that is created on the outside of the building using office room lights and decorations.
On December 21 (Mon), there will also be a classical concert performed by Kyoto Seibo Gakuin Junior High School / Senior High School hand-bell and chorus clubs.
Also, the 2015 autumn special exhibition Magnificent Offerings to the Gods: Treasures of Yasaka Shrine is open to the public until December 6 (Sun) at the Kyocera Museum of Art.
For the convenience of visitors to the illumination event, museum hours will be extended by three hours to 8:00 p.m. from November 30 (Monday) through December 6 (Sunday). Last admission is at 7:30 p.m.
